Job Responsibilities
Piedmont Technical College is seeking a full-time Building and Construction Technology Instructor to:
1.Teach courses to a diverse student body; participate in the assessment of the Building Construction Department''s instructional needs and to assist in the planning and delivery necessary to meet those needs.
2. Advise and keep records of assigned students with division and departmental advising policy and procedures. Make student referrals when deemed necessary to other college personnel. Maintain established office hours. Assist with the division in recruiting and retaining students in the program. Assist student placement upon graduation.
3. Assist with the preparation of Building Construction departmental reports and budgets. Participate in the bidding process for equipment including specifications preparation.
4. Render services through non-instructional (classroom/laboratory) activities that impact the operation of the division/department and the accomplishment of overall college objectives.
5. Professionally make efforts to keep pace with the developing trends & ideas both in vocational/ technical education & in one's technical specialty.
Minimum and Additional Requirements:
An associate''s degree (in Building Construction Technology or related field) and demonstrated competencies in the teaching discipline. Must have (2-3) years of supervisory experience in building and construction management work related experience. South Carolina Home Builders License required.

Prefer a bachelor''s degree in Construction Management or related field.
