Oversees administrative operations, budgeting, programs, and initiatives, partnerships,
, activities and
involvement for international programs. Initiates and develops partnerships and international agreements with institutions of other countries, with emphasis on Asia, including China, South Korea and Thailand. Develop and implement branding and marketing strategies for enhancing the universitys strengths and reputation as a leader in global
. Develop, implement and coordinate all international academic exchange programs and related activities. Supervise the Office of International Programs staff to ensure compliance in all matters related to Landers international students, visiting faculty and scholars, including the evaluation of foreign transcripts, academic advisement, immigration regulations, and the selection of candidates for study abroad programs. Identify new target markets for international recruitment, growth and diversity. Work collaboratively with the dean of enrollment management to review admissions standards and ensure proper documentation and evaluation of international student population. Work collaboratively with various university groups to support the academic and personal successes of international students and leads the English Language Program. Work with university president and provost to develop/implement/approve international programs policies, procedures, budget and staffing. In collaboration with VP for University Advancement, seek and obtain outside funding to support culturally diverse activities, such as scholarships, academic assistance programs, internships and practical training, and international focus weeks. Implement and direct a Lander University International Alumni network and utilize it to obtain information regarding successes of international students for use in admissions/recruitment publications. Occasionally teach (does not teach every semester, only as needed). Will occasionally teach: (1) LU101 Freshman Orientation for International Students; (2) Study Abroad in Asia Culture and Traditions; and (3) Conversational Chinese (for study abroad students as needed). Other duties as assigned. All final candidates are subject to successfully completing background requirements. AA/EEO/Title IX.
One year experience working in the field of international programs at a U.S. higher education institution, managing international programs, cultures, and international student recruiting.
Master's degree in Education, Human Resources, or related degree. Foreign equivalents accepted.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
